Boston – December 5, 2006 – Sasha Cohen, an Olympic silver medalist, melted the ice in the rink as well as the hearts of the audience when she became champion of the Marshalls Challenge which aired on ABC, thanks to the majority of support coming from the fans using 900 numbers to vote in.

Bob Bentz, co-owner of Advanced Telecom Services believes there still is a great opportunity for businesses in the 900 number field. "Participation TV was a big buzz word for 2006 in the television industry.  Although the technology is now 18 years old, 900 numbers remain an excellent way for television programs to interact with their audiences."

Advanced Telecom Services sponsored three voting times, one for favorite West Coast Skater, one for East Coast, and one final vote for the final round. John Weir who finished in second place was actually in first place before Cohen slid onto the ice. During Cohen’s final program the votes started to shift, giving her a victory over Weir.
