900 Numbers Are Not Sex Lines
It’s an age-old problem in the 900 number industry: IMAGE.
The Catholic News Service has been a regularly user of 900 numbers for movie reviews.
It’s frustrating that so many people equate 900 numbers with adult entertainment, especially when the major 900 number providers AT&T, MCI, and Sprint haven’t allowed billing on adult services since 1991! Unfortunately, that’s the history of 900 numbers and first impressions are hard to break.
Advanced Telecom Services has been involved with some top-notch 900 number programs over the years and none are more wholesome and represent the antithesis of the common industry image than the Catholic Church Movie Review Line.
Our staffers came across this article, an oldie but goodie, from 1992 from the Seattle Post with a comment from our director Bret Dunlap in it. The article mentions that Catholic Movie Review 900 Line and other highly reputable 900 number programs.
