Mobile Web Usage Grows 34% Year Over Year

Women Are Using Mobile More And More

Over 56.9 million consumers accessed the web using a mobile device in July 2009 up from 42.5 million a year earlier. This represents a 34% increase year-over-year. (Nielsen).  Growth year-over-year among ages 13 to 17 (45%) and users 65 and over (67%) outpaced other mobile web user demographics. While men continue to constitute 53 % of the mobile web audience, female mobile users increased 43% year-over-year while the male audience grew 26% over the same period.
