Mobile Apps to Be $38 Billion Business by 2015

Mobile apps are projected to be a $38 billion business by 2015, according to a report just released by Forrester Research Mobile.  This is strictly for the spend generated by mobile downloads to consumer cell phones.  Today, there are over 35,000 apps available for download on the iPhone platform.

According to the study, businesses will spend over $17 billion creating apps for thier products and working with third-party services and companies.  In addition, there will be a significant amount of apps built strictly for internal purposes.
