Advanced Telecom Services Has Gone Green

Advanced Telecom Services is an environmentally-friendly company that takes great pride in its efforts in saving the environment. The company participates in numerous efforts to help save the environment.

Here are just some of the efforts that our company is involved in.

• Turning off equipment when not being used.
• Encouraging communications by email.  All of our invoices are now sent via email to save on paper and postage costs.
• Recycling paper.  If something does have to be printed, we require that it be printed on both sides of the paper.  Paper that is printed on just one side is used for note paper.
• Purchasing paper that is recycled.
• Sending documents by email attachment.  We no longer use the fax machine unless we have to.  Our employees under age 28 don’t know what the fax machine is anyway.
• Recycling boxes.  Any boxes that come into the office are used for internal storage or re-used by employees.
• Recycling glass and plastic.
• Water. The company uses an internal water filtering system and encourages employees to use their own mugs for water, coffee, and tea.  Plastic bottles of water are only to be used by guests.
• Food waste. Any food left in the kitchen is buried in the garden for fertilizer.
• Lunch time packaging. Employees are asked to carry the food back to the office and to refuse the bag.
• Plants.  We encourage employees to keep indoor plants in the building and provide plant food and soil for the plants.
• Recycling Batteries.  We have a batter charger and re-charge all batteries rather than throw them out.
• We are members of the Sierra Club and the National Parks & Conservation Association.
