Online dating has become immensely popular worldwide and
recent statistics show that one in three single Americans between the ages of

February, 2008, according to Nielsen Online, 25.8 million Americans visited an internet dating site. That makes online
dating the third most popular category on the internet behind only music and
games.
It’s an industry that will gross $900 million in 2007,

sites, Jupiter projects the industry to top $1.9 billion by 2012.
