Spark Network Services Announces Match.com Partnership

Philadelphia – Spark Network Services is pleased to announce that it’s MatchLink and WebFriends online dating solution will now be powered by Match.com, but with the continued customization of the media partner brand.

MatchLink serves over 150 radio station groups and daily newspapers in the United States and Canada. Under the MatchLink brand, Spark provides a telephone IVR-based dating solution, an online dating solution, and a mobile text message dating product for its media partners.

The new partnership with Match.com allows for the MatchLink media partners to customize its online dating web sites with the look and feel of the radio station or newspaper, but with the power of Match.com and the largest database of singles in North America.

“We know that radio stations want to maintain a sense of community with its listeners and the new sites do just that,” said Bob Bentz, president of Advanced Telecom Services.” “Over the past two decades our dating products have been one of the largest producers of NTR for radio stations. The power of the larger singles database offered by Match.com will greatly enhance the profitability of our dating solution to our media partners.”

The new MatchLink online dating product will pay its media partners based on the lifetime value of the customer. This is different than most of the affiliate programs in the internet dating business where commission is paid only on the initial purchase. Given that the lifetime value of an online dating customer is often in excess of three years, this results in much greater residual compensation for the radio station or newspaper.

“We don’t think there’s a more profitable online dating affiliate program for media in the business,” said Bentz.

Spark Network Services, a division of Advanced Telecom Services, has been providing dating solutions to radio stations and newspapers since 1993. Through nearly twenty years, the Spark MatchLink system is responsible for an estimated 10,000 marriages.
