Marco Island, Florida -- Advanced Telecom Services will be a sponsor of the COSIDA Show at Marco Island, Florida from June 26 – 29, 2011.  COSIDA is the largest gathering of college sports information directors in the nation.

Earlier in the month, Advanced Telecom Services was a sponsor of the ECAC trade show in suburban Rochester, New York.

At COSIDA, Advanced Telecom Services will be displaying its new service “Fan Scan” which allows college sports fans to scan a custom QR code to obtain more information about the program.

“With a custom QR code, a university can offer branding of the team logo within a QR code,” said Scott Bronenberg, Regional Sales Manager for Advanced Telecom Services.  “Our custom QR codes give fans instant access to all of the digital content available for a team.”

For many years, Advanced Telecom Services was the preeminent provider of 900 numbers to college sports teams.  Today, it’s essentially the same market, but with a new medium.

“We know that when it comes to college sports, fans and alumni just can’t get enough information about the team that they feel so passionate about,” added Bentz.  “We are merely giving them the information they need now on the medium that they prefer the most.”
