Emergency Text Message Alert System Being Provided to Wilson College by ATS
An emergency text message alert service has been
purchased by Wilson College, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, from Advanced Telecom
Services.
Wilson College is a private, women's college located in Chambersburg,
Pennsylvania. According to US News and World Report, Wilson College ranks 16th
best in the category of Best Overall Baccalureate Colleges in the northern
region.
The Technology Department at the College will use the
platform to send text message alerts to students, faculty and staff in case of
an emergency. The product has the option of being used for non-emergency
messages whenever needed in the future.
Advanced Telecom Services will provide its internet-based
Text Launch Pad (http://www.txtlaunchpad.com)
technology to facilitate Wilson's emergency text message needs. In the event
of an emergency, Wilson College staff will be able to simultaneously send
emergency text messages to its registered students and staff.
